About Us

Bansarola is a remote village located in Kaij Taluka of Beed District in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state. Seventeen years ago, there was no facility of even 10+2 and higher education at Bansarola. The students of the area had to go to Ambajogai, Kalamb, Latur, Beed, Aurangabad or Pune for higher education. Majority of the population residing in the area is indulged in farming. They have been deprived of higher education. They are from poor socio-economical background. It was only privilege of the rich to avail the opportunity of higher education available in the cities. Due to poor socio-economical background, majority of the students were unable to avail the facility of higher education available in the cities.Keeping in view the necessity of higher education in this remote area, some visionary people came forward to establish the institution of higher education under the umbrella of Krishnai Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Latur, established under the guidance of Dr. Babasaheb Gore, Principal of Abhinav College of Education, Latur in 1999. Krishnai Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Latur started Janvikas Mahavidyalaya, Bansarola in June 2000. The college is started with the motto ‘from Ignorance to Knowledge’ in rural area of Beed district in Marathwada region.

Location

 

The village, Bansarola is located in Kaij Tahasil of Beed District in Marathwada region of Maharashtra state. The place is located in the Manjara river basin. Janvikas Mahavidyalaya, Bansarola is located at 3 kms away from Ambejogai- Kalamb highway. As per 2011 census, the population of the village was 5238. It is the only place of higher education and is easily accessible for the students of neighboring 35-40 villages.

The nearest airport is Latur, 65 kms away from Bansarola. The Air service of Latur is not frequent therefore people of the region have to rely on Nanded, Aurangabad, Pune and Mumbai airports. The nearest railway station is Parli Vaijanath, 42 kms away from Bansarola.

Status

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college with the status of ‘C’ with the institutional score of 1.80%. This certification is valid from 08 February, 2011.

Recognition & Affiliation:

The college was started in the month of June, 2000 and has been grant-in-aid by Govt. of Maharashtra in 2006. The college was temporarily affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad and after establishing the new parent university on 17 September 1994, the college has been granted permanent affiliation by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in 2010. The college has been recognized under 2 (f) and 12 (B) of University Grants Commission on 10 Sept. 2010 vide letter No. F.8196/2009 (CPP-1/C)
