The department admits 120 students each to the B. Sc I, II & III year classes. It offers elective paper to the B. Sc III year students. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad under various programs has visited to the department. Asst.prof BHUMBE has got We also help in preparation and submission of research projects for the various funding agencies, encouraging faculties, students to undertake research work, etc.

Botany Course Outcome:
The botany curriculum has categorically very well defined and expected outcomes for the programme are core competency, communication skills, critical thinking, affective skills, problem-solving, analytical, reasoning, research-skills, teamwork, digital literacy, moral and ethical awareness, leadership readiness etc. The curriculum framework for the bachelor-level program in Botany is developed keeping in view of the student centric learning pedagogy, which is entirely outcome-oriented and curiosity-driven. The curriculum framework focuses on pragmatist approach whereby practical application of theoretical concepts is taught with substantial coverage of practical and field works. The platform aims at equipping the graduates with necessary skills for botany-related careers, careers with general graduate-level aptitude and for higher education in Botany and allied subjects. Critical thinking, basic psychology, scientific reasoning, moral ethical reasoning are specific outcomes pertinent to the discipline of botany.
While designing the botany curriculum emphasis is given on the objectively measurable teaching- learning outcomes to ensure employability of the graduates. Botany, as traditionally delimited epistemologically, is the broad discipline encompassing various subjects involved with the study of plants. Topics like phylogenetic systematic of plants covering higher plants, lower plants, aquatic (fresh and marine water) plants, nature/ field study, functional aspects of various cellular processes of plants, molecular genetics and modern tools i.e. tissue culture, genetic engineering and computational studies are introduced in the curriculum. This syllabus has been drafted to enable the students to equip for national level competitive exams that they may attempt in future.
